Landscape Design and Installation

 

Q.  HOW DO I BEGIN TO HAVE MY HOME LANDSCAPED?
A.  We begin the landscaping process by scheduling a meeting with the property owner(s).  During this time, we determine what the client is hoping to achieve.  From that point we ask for a footprint of the home and if not available, careful measurements are taken of the proposed areas in order to develop a scaled landscaping plan.  Upon completion, an accurate estimate is produced to coincide with the proposed landscaping plan.  Both pieces of information are then presented to the client for approval.  Upon approval and receiving down payment, the project is scheduled and the installation process begins.

Q. DOES IT COST ME ANYTHING FOR A LANDSCAPE ESTIMATE?
A.  We will be happy to provide you with a free estimate if given enough information to do so.  We will also provide up to one hour free consultation to help you determine what might work best in your landscape.  Consultation time does include drive time and time spent over one hour will be billed at $60.00 per hour.

Q.  DO YOU CHARGE FOR A LANDSCAPE DESIGN?
A.  We charge a minimum of $75.00 for a professionally labeled and scaled computer aided landscaping plan. 
The size of area and amount of detail needed will determine the actual design cost.  Upon completion, the design will be presented and left with the customer along with colored pictures of the proposed plants and an installation cost estimate.  A front elevation image of what the proposed landscape will look like can also be provided for an additional charge.  However, should you choose to have LawnsPlus perform the installation, any initial design fees received would be credited toward the balance of the original proposed installation cost.

Q.  WHY SHOULD I SPEND THE MONEY FOR A PROFESSIONAL LANDSCAPE DESIGN?
A.  For peace of mind.  How many times have you heard, ‘pay a little now, or a lot later’?  The landscaping surrounding your home is a living investment.  Whether or not it increases or decreases in value greatly depends upon how it was planned.  Unfortunately, this cannot be done without adequate time and a scaled drawing. A good landscape plan will enable customers to ‘see’ how the landscape will mature over time, and will not allow for improper plant selection or location.  Smart planning will reassure your decision and insure your investment.  (Remember that all design fees are credited should LawnsPlus provide the installation).

Q.  HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO LANDSCAPE MY HOUSE?
A.  Every customer’s needs are unique therefore require unique pricing.  Without a brief consultation or a design it would be impossible to provide a cost.  However, a good rule of thumb is to budget 10% of the home or buildings total value.  This would allow for a complete landscape surrounding your property.  Studies have shown that a properly landscaped homes value can increase by as much as 13%

Q.  HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO COMPLETE MY LANDSCAPE?
A.  The size and scope of your proposed landscape will determine how long it would take to complete.  We have performed installations that take only one half day to larger projects that have taken months.  Upon viewing and estimating a landscape plan, an estimated completion date can be provided.

 

Q.  DO YOU HAVE ANY PLANT GUARANTEES?
A.  Yes.  LawnsPlus guarantees 100% of the plants we suggest and install.  We do not replace plant material damaged by causes outside of our control.  Lack of watering, over watering, storm damage, disease and insect damage, and vandalism are some examples.  Your LawnsPlus representative will assist you in proper watering techniques and are always available for your support.
